About me

Meet the person behind the professional.

Since you’re here, you probably know a thing or two about who I am and what I do. But I want to dive deeper. I want to pull back the curtain and show you what shaped me—how I became the human I am and why I love the work that I do.

If you’d rather to skip ahead to all the work-related stuff, you can check out my professional bio below or learn more about my fractional CMO services here (I promise I won’t hold it against you).

I was a writer before I could hold a pencil.

A dutiful scribe, my mom would jot down every word, folding once-blank sheets into newly minted storybooks.

When I was old enough, I’d write and illustrate them myself, dreaming up entire series and suspecting I’d someday trade printer paper for paperback.

I did, actually.

I was a published poet by fifth grade, and if you look hard enough (and happen to know my full name—I’ll never tell), you just might find one such poem in the Library of Congress.

Creativity is in my DNA.

As an artist, I took after my grandpa, who taught me to sketch and shade with precision. I loved drawing faces because they were hard to get right.

It was a constant process of honing my craft.

Fast forward a few years and a new creative outlet consumed me: music. I loved the viola for its moody richness—the unsung hero of harmony in every string quartet.

I’d practice until my fingers were sore, again, honing my craft.

I’ve also been a freelance photographer, international journalist, and ICF-accredited coach

Although my childhood dreams of becoming a lawyer went unrealized (my parents insisted I’d make a good one). See? I’ve always had a way with words).

What does this have to do with marketing?

Everything.

A good marketer is a powerful storyteller with a strategic mind and devotion to detail.

Content may be king, but creativity is key—especially as brand-led marketing takes center stage and connection is required to cut through the noise.

We’re the sum total of our parts. All these chapters of my life, from dictating storybooks to crafting memorable brands—every skill, experience, setback, and success—has shaped the person and the professional I am today.

Who is that, anyway?

The mission-driven marketer who evangelized emotional connection long before the latest trend reports told us to.

The strategic mastermind who plays chess instead of checkers—always one move ahead, I anticipate, then validate. And when I get it wrong, I own it and learn from it.

The industry disruptor, community creator, and difference-maker who values authenticity above all else.

The one who’s not afraid to go first.

All these years later, I’m still telling stories.

But these stories aren’t fantasies, and they’re not scribbled on blank sheets.

They’re your dreams on a screen—the inner workings of your mind made real, then shared with those whose lives you’ll change.

My mission is to make a difference, and that starts with you.

Let’s write a novel together. It won’t be mine—it will be yours.
